Norwegian Star visits Port Kembla

On Thursday 24th February 2017, the Norwegian Cruise Lines vessel Norwegian Star visited Port Kembla harbour for the first time.

Carrying over 2300 passengers and 1000 crew, the 294m vessel berthed at the AAT facility in Port Kembla’s Inner Harbour. While in port, passengers took the opportunity to disembark, undertake day tours and explore the sights of the Illawarra region.

To mark the vessel’s maiden voyage, NSW Ports Operations Manager Wayne Ashton presented a plaque to Captain Mattias to commemorate the occasion.

The cruise line is the second line to call at Port Kembla following three successful visits by Royal Caribbean vessels earlier in the season.

NSW Ports is pleased to welcome cruise vessels and their guests to Port Kembla and the Illawarra Region and looks forward to future cruise visits.
