NSW Ports has awarded $150,000 in Community Care Grants.

The projects sponsored will support communities local to NSW Ports’ operations at Port Botany, Port Kembla, Cooks River and the Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre.

In April 2021, NSW Ports invited proposals for activities needing support across four areas: Education, the Environment, Community Participation and Wellbeing. One-off grants were on offer to support projects, services and initiatives that benefit our local communities.

Twenty-four groups have been awarded funding, including the Northcott Society which helps empower people living with complex disabilities; Community Cancer Link, providing medical equipment enabling Illawarra nurses to meet the demand for delivery of at-home care for cancer patients; and Dress for Success, which empowers women to achieve economic independence.
