NSW Ports – COVID-19 update

As NSW’s key trade gateways, Port Botany and Port Kembla are essential services for our state and will remain open and operating 24/7 to keep our economy moving and vital imports coming in.

At Port Botany, container ships are arriving regularly, carrying supplies including food, beverages, goods to stock our retail shelves and manufactured items, while bulk liquid imports of petrol, LPG and chemicals continue to flow. At Port Kembla, imports of cars, construction materials and other bulk goods continue.

NSW Ports takes our responsibilities in managing these two ports very seriously. We have implemented our own business continuity plan and continue to work closely with government, shipping lines, terminal operators and road and rail operators to enable trade flow within a safe working environment.

We appreciate that these are unprecedented and challenging times for the people and businesses of NSW. At the ports we are focussed on keeping the flow of goods moving to support NSW and Australia.
