Update on the provisioning of Cruise Ships at Port Kembla

Image

As of this morning, two cruise ships, the Carnival Spirit and the Radiance of the Seas, have successfully arrived, received provisioning of food, goods and fuel and departed Port Kembla. A further two ships are due over the next few days.

This provisioning is being done at the request of the NSW Government so that the cruise vessels can safely leave Australia. These activities are being overseen by NSW Police and are following strict protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all workers involved and the wider community.

The ships have only crew onboard (no passengers). If any crew disembark they require approval by Australian Border Force and NSW Police and will be subject to the mandatory quarantine provisions and escorted by NSW Police.
